Virtual Design Center

Image of a person's face and a computer screen covered with ones and zeros.Creating new educational products and programs requires more than an idea. What is the need for this new material or activity? What national or state standards will it address? How will it be tested and evaluated?

The Center for Educational Technologies created the Virtual Design Center to provide research-based guidelines to help product developers, educational researchers, scientists, and teachers design inquiry-based learning activities. NASA funded its creation to ensure that new designs for classroom investigations are based on good science and solid educational design theory.

The Virtual Design Center is an online resource available to you 24/7. Our staff will also help you work through the conceptualization and design process to ensure your great idea becomes a great learning tool.

Contact us to have one of our experts walk you and your design team through the six steps of the Virtual Design Center to develop a design document for a technology-based inquiry activity.
