Florida Tech Conference to Feature e-Missions™

Wed Nov 14 2007

Participants at the Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC) will learn about the Challenger Learning Center's e-Mission™ program.

Jackie Shia, director of the Challenger Learning Center® at the Center for Educational Technologies®, will present e-Mission: An Adventure in Distance Learning at the conference, which will be held Jan. 22-25 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

e-Missions use distance learning to provide students and adults with problem-based simulations that emphasize teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. They allow teachers to easily integrate the excitement of technology into the classroom.

FETC is one of the largest, most successful conferences in the United States devoted to educational technology. The conference program is designed so educators and administrators have an opportunity to learn how to integrate different technologies across the curriculum—from kindergarten to college—while being exposed to the latest hardware, software, and successful strategies on student technology use. FETC is designed for teachers, principals and deans, district administrators, curriculum designers, media specialists, technology directors, and various other educators.
