Spring Day Camps to Send Students into Space

Tue Feb 24 2009

Students in grades 4-7 will have the chance to become space explorers this spring in one of the upcoming day camps being offered by the Challenger Learning Center®.

The camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 21, April 13, and May 9. Students will join an adventuresome crew of mission specialists on their journey into space. They'll take part in the Challenger Learning Center's two-hour Return to the Moon mission. They'll assume the role of astronauts and mission control specialists on this exciting voyage and will be the first to return to the lunar surface and establish a base camp.

Campers will be busy the rest of the day enjoying fun hands-on activities exploring the wonders of space and science while using their teamwork and critical thinking skills.

To register your child now, call 304-243-8740 or 304-243-2029 or visit our website. Cost of the camp is $30.

The Challenger Learning Center programs continue the Challenger crew's mission of engaging students in science, math, and technology and fosters in them interest in pursuing careers in those fields. The Wheeling Challenger Learning Center has been honored nine years for having served the most children of all the 47 Challenger Learning Centers worldwide.
