WJU Honors Employees for Service

Several members of the Center for Educational Technologies were honored today by Wheeling Jesuit University for their years of service to the university.
The recognition took part at the university's annual opening gathering for faculty, administration, and staff to mark the beginning of the school year.
Dr. Laurie Ruberg, associate director of the Center for Educational Technologies; Dr. Meri Cummings, science resource teacher and lab manager; and Ron Magers, help desk manager, all were recognized for 15 years of service.
Receiving honors for five years of service were Dr. Chuck Wood, director of the center; Manetta Calinger, curriculum writer; and Lisa McFarland, research coordinator.
In addition the event recognized those hired at the university within the last year. Among those were three people from the Center for Educational Technologies: Stacy Keller, video producer/director; Dr. Debbie Piecka, educational researcher/instructional designer; and Tamie Shiplett, curriculum writer.
