New Climate Change Modules Presented at Conference

Tue Mar 22 2011

The new climate change modules in the award-winning Exploring the Environment website were highlighted in a poster session at a recent conference.

Dr. Laurie Ruberg, associate director, presented the poster at the Tri-Agency Global Climate Change Education conference held Feb. 28-March 2 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. The conference included principal investigators from NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Science Foundation who are developing climate change education resources.

NASA funds Ruberg's project, Exploring the Environment Through Problem-based Learning, which builds on the existing Exploring the Environment modules.

Ruberg made connections with projects with similar interests by attending the tri-agency meeting that will help the Center for Educational Technologies coordinate its development and dissemination efforts.

A beta version of the first of these new modules, Global Temperatures, is now online.
