NASATalk Leader to Review New Standards Draft

Tue Jan 17 2012

Dr. Laurie Ruberg, associate director of the Center for Educational Technologies, has been invited to serve as a reviewer of the draft of the Classroom Assessment Standards: How to Improve Assessment Practices in K-12 Education, a revision of the 2003 approved American National Standards Institute (ANSI) student evaluation standards. This initiative is sponsored by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE).

Ruberg will integrate this work into the STEM education discussions and special features on the NASATalk website, which she manages. Reviewing material for the JCSEE will provide relevant information and discussion topics for the NASATalk discussions about ways to improve STEM education, Ruberg said.

NASATalk is an online collaborative that highlights STEM opportunities available through NASA's Aerospace Education Services Project (AESP), Digital Learning Network (DLN), NASA Explorer Schools, and Electronic Professional Development Network (ePDN) projects.
