Launch of New Site Brings Tech Users Together

In 2007 we created a comprehensive report for NASA, benchmarking the state of educational technology. As an outgrowth of that research, NASA asked us to create an online source where educational technology users could go to learn about all the various technologies available and how people were using them. This year we launched the EdTech Collaborative. The website works like a wiki, allowing users to contribute materials and best practices and comment on or edit postings. The site has already seen growing use, and one group of education majors at Wheeling Jesuit University used it as the base for their "tech triathlon," in which they explored, tested, analyzed, and evaluated three popular educational technology tools and reflected on how each tool could improve their teaching and learning strategies.
