Challenger Reaches More Than Ever in 2008
The Challenger Learning Center housed at the Center for Educational Technologies reached record heights in 2008. The e-Missions™ distance learning program made more than 1,000 video connections to classrooms around the world. That's a lot of students who get to experience the fun and excitement of a distance learning mission, bringing NASA science to their classrooms. Challenger also welcomed thousands of students to our building through its onsite missions. Additional funding from the state of West Virginia allowed Challenger to add the Space Weather Action Center to its onsite missions thanks to green screen technology.
