The World's Mine Oyster

In a virtual world geographical boundaries mean little. We took a few steps to proving that in 2008. The Challenger Learning Center conducted e-Missions™ for students in Rome and educators in Northern Ireland. South Korean educators visiting New York City also experienced e-Missions—and in their native tongue no less—as two students from the Linsly School in Wheeling served as translators. Other international missions are planned.

Senior educational researcher Dr. Debbie Denise Reese took an international turn too, serving as a keynote speaker at the First International Meeting on Evaluation for Mid-higher-level Education and College-level Education. The mayor of conference host Veracruz, Mexico, honored her during a ceremony as a distinguished visitor.
